The Oliva Connecticut Reserve Toro is a wonderful mild-to-medium bodied cigar that was rated 91 by Cigar Snob magazine. It is constructed using a delightful blend of long-filler Nicaraguan tobaccos along with a Nicaraguan binder leaf. It is capped with an almost glowing, golden-colored Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper.
This flavorful Toro is a great companion anytime day or night. It is mild enough to be your first cigar of the day, yet packs enough flavor to satisfy the palate after a heavy meal. You can expect notes of cream, light coffee, and cedar in this smooth operator.
EIROA CBT MADURO TORO

The Eiroa CBT Maduro is a delicious full-flavored cigar. It’s named after the brand’s founder, Christian Eiroa (pronounced eh-row-hah) and the CBT part refers to “Capa, Banda, and Tripa” which translates from Spanish to “Wrapper, Binder, and Filler”, the 3 components of a premium cigar. The final part of the brand name is Maduro. Not only does this cigar use a gorgeous dark-chocolate colored Mexican San Andreas Maduro wrapper, but the binder and filler tobaccos are also Maduro.
You can expect excellent construction on this full-flavored gem, Expect tasting notes to include cocoa and pepper along with hints of sweetness and rich earthiness. The Eiroa CBT Maduro pairs well with dark coffee beverages and stout-style beers.
HIRSH Y GARCIA TORO

Hirsh y Garcia is a rare bird in the cigar industry. The brand has thrived and survived for over 15 years. After moving from it’s initial factory due to quality concerns and fulfillment issues, it found a new home in boutique factory with a legendary name attached to it. The newly reborn and reconfigured Hirsh y Garcia is now blended by famed Cuban tobacco farmer and blender Hirochi Robaina.
The Hirsh y Garcia Toro uses a blend of Ecuadorian Habano Claro wrapper along with rich Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.It is a medium-to-full flavored and complex cigar with flavors of cedar and coffee with hints of baking spices, roasted nuts, and pepper. Not only is this new blend excellent and well constructed, but it might be better than the original.
MONTE BY MONTECRISTO TORO

There are few names in the cigar industry that carry as much weight as Montecristo. When they set out create something a little more hip and quite a bit more flavorful, they dug deep to create the Monte by Montecristo. This is a cigar with a wealth of complexity and depth. Wrapped in a dark and oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and using Aged Dominican filler tobaccos, the Monte is unique as it employs a double binder. Using a Dominican Olor leaf combined with Nicaraguan Corojo, this setup gives the Monte strength and complexity.
This highly regarded Monte by Montecristo is a full flavored experience with excellent consrtuction. This oily looking smoke delivers flavors of leather, earth, and spices, with a refined chocolate note on the finish.
BLACKBIRD CIGAR CUCO GRAN TORO

Can’t clip my wings! That’s the moto of this upstart, boutique cigar company. Blackbird Cigar Co., produces some really interesting sticks and they are all names after birds. The Cuco (Spanish for Cuckoo) is a delightful medium-to-full bodied smoke that utilizes Dominican tobaccos along with a binder from Indonesia. Capping of this bird is a good-looking, oily Brazilian-grown Criollo wrapper. It’s the proverbial “feather in the cap” for this blend.
These tobaccos combine to create a refreshingly fresh boutique blend that will not disappoint. Cuco has hints of chocolate and a touch of black pepper. Keep an eye on these birds, they’re flying high!
