The Alec Bradley Fine & Rare is a series of very special, limited edition cigars that is usually released annually. Like previous releases of Fine & Rare, these cigars are rolled at the Raices Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras. But these are no ordinary cigars. While the blend is not disclosed each Fine & Rare cigar includes 10 different tobaccos in its blend.  It starts with 7 filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras and  a double Honduran binder. It’s topped off with a spectacular Honduran Criollo ’98 wrapper grown in the Trojes region.  Thanks to the numerous types of tobacco used in this blend, this release is extremely complex and superbly balanced. Only a single pair of master rollers craft the Fine & Rare for Alec Bradley, and only 2500 boxes are being made.  Tasting notes include flavors of earth, pepper, and cedar with hits of vanilla, sweet grass, toasted breads, caramel, and more.  This is a truly special cigar!

Alec Bradley Cigar Co. has a well-deserved reputation for churning out hit after hit to satisfy their loyal fans. It’s due in no small part to the meticulous attention to detail of the brand’s founder, Alan Rubin. But it wasn’t a quick and easy journey. He joined the premium cigar industry in 1996 but stumbled to find his footing for a while. He had a line of bundle cigars made in the Dominican Republic by Henke Kelnrer of Davidoff that was good, and he introduced the industry’s first (and only) triangular pressed cigars. Around 2005, he was told of a great little factory in Honduras called Raices Cubanas, and he traveled there to see what the hype was about. It was this trip that altered the course of his company and set them on the path towards greatness. Raices Cubanas is the factory where the bulk of Alec Bradley Cigars are made now, however Alec Bradley does use other factories in Nicaragua for special projects too.
