As these cigars use vintage, well-aged tobaccos, the creative minds at Gurkha were inspired to create a box that reminded them of wine aging barrels. Taking it a step further, they studied the packaging of finest wines in the world to draw inspiration for their labels. They settled on a heavy paper stock with simple text and gold inlay to ensure that this new look Gurkha would seem right at home in the finest wine cellars in the world. Don’t let the reserve packaging fool you. What you have here is a masterpiece creation that is worthy to accompany the finest wines (or other beverages of choice) in the world.

The Gurkha Cellar Reserve uses the finest quality, 15 year aged Dominican filler tobacco as it’s base. The next layer, a Dominican Olor binder, is skillfully bunched together with the filler before an oily Criollo 1998 wrapper is applied to the blend. It’s capped with a pigtail for a bit of flair. This is a delicious, medium-full cigar unlike any Gurkha before it. Tasting notes include coffee, cocoa, and spice with hints of leather and woods that dance in and out of the profile. An extremely attractive cigar with a flavor profile to match.
