Hirsh y Garcia is a rare bird in the cigar industry. The brand has thrived and survived for over 15 years. After moving from it’s initial factory due to quality concerns and fulfillment issues, it found a new home in boutique factory with a legendary name attached to it. The newly reborn and reconfigured Hirsh y Garcia is now blended by famed Cuban tobacco farmer and blender Hirochi Robaina.
The Toro uses a blend of Ecuadorian Habano Claro wrapper along with rich Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. It is a medium-to-full flavored and complex cigar with flavors of cedar and coffee with hints of baking spices, roasted nuts, and pepper. Not only is this new blend excellent and well constructed, but it might be better than the original.

Been many years since I smoked one. Then Pepin Garcia made them. I just smoked the 2017 by H Robaina. Probably better but not by much. Both Garcia and Robaina are masters. Construction, blend and complexity are perfection. I ordered more.

Just smoked my second one after a week. Let the rest of them rest awhile. What a great smoke! First 3rd was spicy . Next 3rd was spicy, sweet and balanced with other flavors. Final 3rd to the nub was spicey, sweet, leathery and delicious. Construction. balance and complexity was awesome. Will get more.👍🏽
