La Aurora Puro Vintage 2008 Salamon

The La Aurora Puro Vintage 2008 is one of the most rare cigars ever produced by the Dominican Republic’s oldest cigar factory. A mere 8000 of these special cigars have been produced and once they’re gone we won’t be seeing more in the future. The reason being is that this vintage features tobacco exclusively grown in 2008. It features a blend of 13 year old tobaccos beginning with a core of filler leaves from Brazil, Columbia, Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua accompanied by a Dominican binder leaf. The 2008 vintage wrapper has a glorious dark copper color and is grown in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. Tasting notes include flavors of espresso, cocoa, and earth with hints of pepper and raisin sweetness. It’s a big, beautiful expression of what a vintage cigar done right should be.

La Aurora was the 1st cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. It was founded on October 3rd, 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes. He was a hard working man whose grandfather had been a tobacco grower.
