Parcel 77 is brand created to honor a small, unnamed farm just outside of Santiago Dominican Republic where experimental crops of tobaccos are grown. To local tobacco farmers, it is simply referred to as Parcel 77. Master blender and cigar maker Manuel Quesada was growing a unique strain of tobacco here that he hoped would work well in a new cigar he wanted to create. While the crop was of superior quality, he found the yield was too small to use for mass production. Not one to waste his bounty, Quesada created a small batch cigar simply called Parcel 77. Using these experimental leaves for the filler, along with a MExican binder, he topped this blend with a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper. Tasting notes include straightforward flavors of cedar and earth with hints of cream and sweetness. It’s a cigar that demonstrates the beauty of simplicity.
