Few brands create as many limited edition or limited production cigars as Avo. Sure they have their core lines (which are extremely popular), but their limited product is where the brand really shines. The brand’s originator, Avo Uvezian, was a very talented musician who loved to create, improve, and improvise. He was also a cigar lover and his talents lent themselves to cigar making as well. He was one of the first cigar makers to create limited edition cigars. While visiting the factory to check on production of his core lines, he would inquire about a certain orphan bales of tobacco he saw in the storeroom. Along with Hendrik Kelner, they would tinker and create what would become a limited edition Avo cigar like this Avo Regional 2020 North Edition.

Avo is no longer alive to carry on his tradition of improvising with tobacco, but the brand he created is now under the careful management of Davidoff. They continue Avo’s legacy of tinkering by creating limited edition cigars like the Avo Regional 2020 North Edition. The North Edition is a blend of multi-regional and varieties of choice Dominican tobaccos for the filler and binder. A rare Dominican wrapper leaf is used to complete the blend. The tobaccos harmonize to produce flavors of cedar, coffee, and nuts with hints of leather and pepper. It’s a testament to what an Avo Limited Edition should be.
