The Undercrown 10 is the story of success. A decade ago, the rolling team responsible for crafting Drew Estate’s Liga Privada line came up with the blend that would become their popular Undercrown line. It was an unusual move, but they were smoking too many of the Ligas for management’s taste and wanted something special to smoke themselves. That’s how the Undercrown line was born. 10 Years later, Drew Estate is celebrating the success of this blend by creating a 10th Anniversary blend. Working hand in hand with that original team, they create a special blend that uses a core of select Nicaraguan tobaccos, a USA Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and a Mexican San Andres wrapper. Tasting notes include flavors of dark chocolate, pepper, and earth with hints of raisin, leather, espresso, and cream. This is a tremendous addition to the Undercrown portfolio and a fitting celebration of the brand’s anniversary.

The latter is exactly what happened at Drew Estate with the rollers who make their prestigious Liga Privada line. When the company saw the balance sheet and noticed how many LP’s the rollers were smoking, they approached them with a unique proposal – blend your own cigar using similar components, and you can smoke as many as you like. They did, and their creation was so good that it became a regular production line dubbed Undercrown Maduro. Never one to rest on their laurels, Drew Estate has expanded the Undercrown line with a special blend to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the line.
